About the Role Airbnb is seeking a Storage Preferences Specialist for Safety in Canada to address a range of safety concerns within the community. The role focuses on identifying threatening or harmful circumstances, empathetic communication with survivors, and quick, judgment-based decision making to provide the best support and restore survivors' status quo. What You'll Do
- Address a variety of Safety concerns for the community, including but not limited to Discrimination, Personal Safety Threats, Domestic Violence, Suicide or Self Harm, Child Exploitation, Physical Assault and Sexual Assault, Drugs activity, Sex Work and Human Trafficking.
- Identify threatening and harmful circumstances and assess risk.
- Communicate empathetically with survivors and provide appropriate support.
- Exercise good judgment and make quick, well-informed decisions to restore survivors’ status quo. What We're Looking For
- Experience handling safety and crisis-related issues for a community or product.
- Ability to identify threats and assess risk across sensitive, high-stakes scenarios.
- Empathetic communication, strong listening skills, and the ability to support survivors.
- Strong judgment and quick decision-making under pressure.
- Familiarity with safety best practices around discrimination, personal safety, domestic violence, self-harm, child exploitation, assault, drugs, sex work, and human trafficking.
