About the Role Join Western Digital's Storage Architect role on the Customer Technical Sales & Support team, the primary technical bridge between WD's Engineering and enterprise customers, hyperscalers, and OEM partners. You will own the understanding of customer architectures and how they utilize HDDs to deliver solutions, providing input to Engineering to improve products or propose new opportunities for WD. This is a senior individual contributor role with significant cross-functional influence across firmware, software, hardware, and product management. What You'll Do
- Own the understanding of our customers' architecture and how they utilize HDDs to deliver solutions to end customers, and feed input to Engineering to improve products or propose new opportunities for WD.
- Serve as the technical bridge between WD's Engineering and enterprise customers, hyperscalers, and OEM partners.
- Communicate effectively with other engineers and the executive team; collaborate across firmware, software, hardware, and product management to solve hard storage challenges. What We're Looking For
- 7–10 years of hands-on storage system experience.
- An informed perspective on where the storage industry is heading.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate to other engineers and the executive team.
- Senior individual contributor with cross-functional influence across firmware, software, hardware, and product management.
