Company Overview Prep Academy Tutors is a private in-home and online tutoring company providing flexible, personalized tutoring programs to students throughout Florida. We specialize in all subject areas and serve students from kindergarten through grade 12. We are especially interested in qualified tutors with strong subject knowledge and teaching experience in AP Biology, AP Chemistry, and other STEM subjects. Job Summary

Provide academic support to students based on expertise and knowledge of the state curriculum. Provide supplemental assignments to students to help promote a greater understanding of the material. Provide remedial and enrichment support for students. Communicate with parents or guardians to discuss student progress. Provide a customized approach tailored to the individual needs of each student.

Qualifications and Skills We are seeking experienced teachers, subject matter experts, graduate students, and aspiring educators who meet the following criteria: Strong subject knowledge, particularly in AP Biology, AP Chemistry, and other STEM subjects, including advanced high school science and mathematics. Experience teaching, tutoring, or providing academic support at the high school level, especially in AP courses or other advanced STEM subjects. Ability to explain challenging concepts clearly and help students develop a deeper understanding of the material. Experience with AP curricula and exam preparation is a strong asset. Energetic, enthusiastic, and committed to student success. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Professional, dependable, and committed to providing outstanding service to students and families. Ability to adapt instruction to a wide range of learning styles and individual student needs.

Requirements

• A qualified applicant will have a bachelor’s degree and will also meet at least one of the following criteria: You hold a valid Florida State teaching certificate or the equivalent thereof; You are a current student teacher pursuing a teaching certificate; You have two or more years of experience as a private or charter school classroom teacher; You have experience as a lecturer/course instructor at an accredited U.S. University or College; You are a Master’s/PhD student with experience as a teaching assistant at an accredited U.S. University or College

• Location Requirement: Candidates must be available to provide in-person, or in-home tutoring to students in Naples, Florida. Online tutoring may also be available depending on student needs and assignments.
