About the Role Mercor is seeking STEM PhDs for a premier project with one of the world's top AI labs. In this role, you will contribute your subject matter expertise to a cutting-edge project involving state-of-the-art large language models, helping to create high-quality data that informs the future of AI innovation by posing difficult problems in your domain.
What You'll Do
- Apply your domain expertise to guide data creation for AI model training and evaluation.
- Design and propose challenging problems in your field to drive data quality and coverage.
- Collaborate with researchers and engineers on data curation, labeling, and validation tasks.
- Maintain careful attention to detail and communicate findings clearly.
What We're Looking For
- STEM PhD from a US/UK/Canada/European university (e.g., Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics).
- High attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent proficiency in English.
- Ability to work remotely and deliver high-quality work on a flexible schedule.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay: $70 - $75 per hour (hourly).
- Fully remote contract work with potential project extensions based on needs and performance.
- Payments are weekly on Stripe or Wise based on services rendered.
