About the Role The internship is focused on digitalizing the quality traceability for GIS products at GE Vernova's Aix-les-Bains site. You will map current traceability processes and develop reliable tools (Excel VBA, Access databases, SQL, Python) to capture test results, generate automated reports, and store data in a data lake, enabling end-to-end traceability along the production line.
What You'll Do
- Understand manufacturing and testing processes and map traceability needs across suppliers, plant, and site.
- Develop and propose reliable IT tools (Excel VBA, Access databases, SQL, Python) to simplify entry of test results, automate reports, compute criteria and store data for the data lake.
- Define a criteria base in collaboration with design/R&D and harmonize formats across tools and specs.
- Design simplified input logic to minimize re-entry, reduce errors, and facilitate ERP integration.
- Conduct testing phases, debug, and validate tools; establish usage procedures.
- Deploy the system on production lines and support rollout.
What We're Looking For
- Engineering degree or equivalent with strong IT skills; pragmatic, multidisciplinary approach.
- Proficiency with classic IT tools (Excel, Microsoft Access) and programming languages (VBA, Python, SQL); knowledge of databases and ERP.
- Willingness to learn about quality/production environment, HV networks, GIS product domain.
Nice to Have
- SAP knowledge; experience with SQL, PHP, C#, Python as applicable.
