About the Role
This internship offers hands-on experience in construction management with exposure to engineering and estimating activities. You will join a dynamic team and may rotate through office, field, and estimating tracks to develop key construction management skills.
What You'll Do
- Work under experienced engineers on field engineering, operations planning, cost control, project scheduling, quantities tracking, material procurement, contract administration, estimation, and field supervision.
- Perform engineering tasks using standard techniques and address minor technical issues encountered during construction.
- Maintain records of progress, costs, materials usage, and other project data.
- Plan and schedule work and project segments.
- Investigate issues and incidents, identify and recommend solutions or alternatives.
- Review drawings and specifications to determine material needs (quantities and quality) and material pricing.
- Collaborate with suppliers to facilitate handling and expedite delivery of materials.
- Cost estimation for large-scale projects.
- Use software such as Hard Dollar, AutoCAD, P6, InRoads, etc.

- Ability to travel or relocate as needed.
- Availability to work full-time during the fall.
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to access all areas of a construction site in varied weather and environments.
- Highly motivated with a passion for excellence and initiative.

- Functional knowledge of English (written and spoken) is an asset, given mobility across Canadian provinces. Some courses may be provided if necessary.
Nice to Have
- English language proficiency is a plus.
