About this role
Samsara is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join our remote Canada team. You will help define and build the next generation of our Connected Operations Cloud, working at the intersection of hardware, software, AI, and the physical world. Our platform processes trillions of data points from IoT sensors, cameras, and connected devices, and you will contribute to products and capabilities that scale with our growth and transform how organizations operate.
Responsibilities
- Define and ship new products and features, from concept to delivery, at scale.
- Work on zero-to-one initiatives that impact how physical operations run, including applying AI and ML to massive real-world datasets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build capabilities that change how organizations maintain equipment, manage fleets, and run day-to-day operations.
- Contribute across platform and product areas, shaping the roadmap and technical direction for high-impact areas.
- Operate with an entrepreneurial mindset, delivering impact while navigating ambiguity and scale.
- Participate in a culture that values bold engineering, autonomy, and long-term thinking as part of a growing team that is building for the future.
Requirements
- Experience ranging from Senior to Staff+ level, across platform and product-focused work.
- Ability to shape scope and contribute meaningfully to the roadmap for the right role and person.
- Comfortable working in a high-growth environment where AI/ML and data-driven decision making play significant roles.
- Proven ability to tackle complex problems, collaborate across disciplines, and ship at scale in a remote setting.
