Job title: Staff Software Engineer- Networking
About the Role Databricks is building and running the world's best data and AI infrastructure platform, with Networking Infrastructure as a core part of the platform. You will be a seed member of the Bengaluru site, focusing on building backend connectivity services that power millions of VMs, and leading the design of services that connect the control plane and compute plane to improve scalability and cloud resource efficiency.
What You'll Do
- Build new backend connectivity services that power millions of VMs on Databricks.
- Lead the design and development of services that connect the control plane to the compute plane.
- Drive scalable, robust networking systems across multi-cloud environments.
- Collaborate with product management, operations, and other engineering teams to ensure delivery of reliable solutions.
- Take on a hands-on leadership role in a fast-paced startup-like Bengaluru team.
What We're Looking For
- 12+ years of production-level experience in Python, Java, Scala, C++, or similar language.
- 7+ years of experience developing large-scale distributed systems from scratch.
- Experience working on a SaaS platform or with Service-Oriented Architectures.
- Extensive experience working in the Networking domain.
