About the Role
As one of the first engineers in the NYC Engineering office, you’ll have the opportunity to be part of a small, nimble team that’s innovating to build new products from the ground up. We are building interfaces for GenAI agents that manage complex workflows while keeping humans in the loop through inspectability and transparency. This role blends startup energy with Databricks' scale to deliver data & AI-driven products for technical and business users.
What You'll Do
- Create novel, never-seen-before interfaces for GenAI agents that manage complex workflows while maintaining inspectability and transparency for users.
- Partner closely with product management, design, and other engineering teams to build intuitive, extensible products that drive user and business growth.
- Lead by example with hands-on front-end and full-stack development, including direct work with customers to create dynamic, user-centric experiences.
- Enable onboarding and sharing capabilities to drive product-led growth and seamless adoption.
- Collaborate across cross-functional teams to shape the future of intuitive agentic applications at Databricks.
What We're Looking For
- 10 years of experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript or similar technologies.
- Demonstrated product mindset with ability to translate ambiguous customer problems into scrappy MVPs and iterate quickly based on data and user feedback; AI features should be intuitive, trustworthy, and helpful.
- High ownership and bias for action in 0→1 environments; ability to make pragmatic trade-offs with incomplete information and drive projects from idea to launch and adoption.
- Strong ability to collaborate across product, engineering, and design to align technical strategy with growth objectives.
- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js or Ember).
- Familiarity with server-side web technologies (e.g., Node.js or similar), SQL and Spark.
Compensation & Benefits
- Local pay range: $190,900—$253,750 USD per year.
