About the Role
Staff Software Engineer, AI/ML GenAI, Google Cloud leads development of GenAI capabilities across Google Cloud, owning outcomes and solving ambiguous problems while influencing stakeholders. This role requires deep expertise in AI/ML and production-grade software systems.
What You'll Do

Own design and implementation of GenAI features for Google Cloud; drive ML design and optimize ML infrastructure (model deployment, model evaluation, data processing, debugging, fine-tuning).

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to define requirements and deliver scalable, reliable software.

Mentor engineers and help shape architecture and best practices, enabling high-quality, maintainable systems.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

8 years of experience in software development.

5 years of experience leading ML design and optimizing ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, data processing, debugging, fine tuning).

5 years of experience testing, and launching software products.

3 years of experience with software design and architecture.

2 years of experience with state-of-the-art GenAI techniques (e.g., LLMs, Multi-Modal, Large Vision Models) or GenAI-related concepts (language modeling, computer vision).

Experience owning outcomes and decision making; solving ambiguous problems and influencing stakeholders.

Deep expertise in domain.
