Job title: Staff Product Manager, Security
Databricks is seeking a Staff Product Manager, Security in Seattle to lead security product efforts across the platform. You will own the security features that protect customer data and enable trusted data analytics, working closely with engineering, security, and product teams to simplify and secure the user experience.
What You'll Do
- Define and own the security product strategy and roadmap for the Databricks platform.
- Collaborate with engineering, security, product, and customer-facing teams to deliver secure-by-default data tools and features.
- Translate customer needs and regulatory requirements into measurable product requirements and success metrics.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives around security controls, threat modeling, privacy, and compliance.
- Partner with security and privacy teams to drive secure architecture and incident readiness, mentoring other product managers as needed.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a product manager in security or data protection, with a track record of shipping security features in cloud data platforms.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and influencing skills across engineering, design, legal/compliance, and leadership teams.
- Technical background in information security, cloud security, data privacy, risk assessment, and threat modeling.
- Ability to think strategically, balance long-term roadmaps with near-term delivery, and operate in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field; advanced degree or security certification a plus.
