About this role
About the Role Webflow seeks a Staff Product Manager, AI to define the direction for AI across the platform, focusing on the Agent Access area (Webflow AI Assistant, MCP, Agent Instructions, and the underlying AI platform powering prompt-based agents). This is early, fast-moving territory where you will own a multi-year strategy and align teams across Engineering, Design, and Data to ship cohesive AI experiences for developers and creators. What You'll Do
- Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Webflow's agent surfaces: the Webflow AI Assistant, MCP, Agent Instructions, and the AI platform underneath that powers our prompt-based agent experiences.
- Set the direction and drive it through to delivery with Engineering, Design, and Data; keep teams aligned so we ship a coherent product rather than an org chart.
- Sequence work so surfaces reinforce each other, build shared primitives for 1st-party and 3rd-party agents.
- Define the quality bar for agent experiences, the evals, guardrails, and metrics that hold the area to it.
- Balance developer-grade surfaces like MCP and APIs against an approachable assistant for visual, less-technical creators.
- Drive alignment across Webflow, not just your own teams; represent the agent area to leadership and turn strategy into committed plans.
- Roll up your sleeves and build: prototype ideas, ship improvements, and even contribute to code; stay close to implementation to make sharp product calls.
- Place durable, multi-year bets as AI evolves; stay close to customers, differentiate standards from fads, and raise the bar on speed and quality.
- Raise the bar for the craft around you: set reusable patterns and mentor PMs as the agent practice grows. What We're Looking For
- 8+ years of product management experience, with deep expertise in AI-powered systems and a track record of owning strategy for large, ambiguous product areas.
- Experience with platforms, APIs, and extensibility; know where LLM-based tools shine and where they break down, from hands-on work with AI agent systems, code generation, or programmable interfaces.
- Defined the bar for good on non-deterministic products, with clear evals, guardrails, and success metrics that teams can uphold.
- Ability to serve two audiences: developer-grade tools and approachable products for less-technical creators.
- Strong craft mindset: enjoys all stages of product development, from PRs to interviews to prototyping and metrics work.
- Lead through influence, aligning Engineering, Design, GTM, and leadership; make decisions with senior stakeholders.
- Curiosity and fluency in emerging AI to accelerate work for you and your team. Compensation & Benefits
- Zone A: $212,000 - $265,000; Zone B: $200,000 - $250,000; Zone C: $186,000 - $235,000
- Eligible for Webflow's company-wide bonus program (target amounts vary by career level)
- Remote-first with flexibility and competitive benefits
