About the Role Cepheid is seeking a Staff Planning Analyst to own end-to-end aftermarket service parts planning, balancing demand, supply and inventory to ensure product availability and high service levels. This on-site role in Sunnyvale supports Cepheid's diagnostics business and partners with multiple functions to optimize service delivery and cost. What You'll Do
- Own and execute end-to-end demand, supply, and inventory planning for aftermarket service parts to ensure product availability and high service levels.
- Develop and maintain demand and supply plans that balance forecast accuracy, inventory targets, and on-time delivery performance.
- Drive scalable, analytics-led planning processes by leveraging systems, automation, and advanced data analysis to minimize manual intervention, prevent unvalidated demand from entering the pipeline, and proactively manage risks to inventory balance, service levels, and capacity.
- Maintain and continuously improve planning parameters and system settings to drive inventory efficiency, network performance, and financial outcomes.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Care, Logistics, Order Management, and Procurement to resolve supply risks, prioritize customer needs, and identify cost-reduction and network optimization opportunities. What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of related work experience OR Master’s degree with 6+ years OR Doctoral degree with 3+ years of work experience.
- Experience with aftermarket service parts planning or complex, multi-node supply networks preferred.
- Leads others to solve complex problems; uses advanced analytics to identify innovative solutions.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills; ability to explain difficult concepts and influence stakeholders.
- Interprets business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Nice to Have
- Experience with Spares Part Planning Software such as Baxter, PTC, and SAP/ERP or SAP/ERPM.
- Medical device experience preferred.
- Database management and SQL. Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: 129,500 - 180,000 USD per year.
- Bonus/incentive pay eligible.
