Staff Digital IC Design Engineer

About the Role Marvell is seeking a Staff Digital IC Design Engineer to contribute to the Connectivity BU's optical Ethernet transceiver ASICs, participating in chip design, verification, and timing closure across the ASIC flow. The role involves collaborating with backend teams and supporting post-silicon validation to ensure high-performance, reliable silicon for data center and cloud applications.

What You'll Do

• Participate in various aspects of chip design including RTL development, synthesis, static timing analysis, formal equivalence, RTL lint, cross clock domain analysis and functional verification.
• Develop high-speed data path and control plane RTL blocks using Verilog, with synthesis and backend resources.
• Integrate vendor IP and provide support throughout the design flow.
• Be well versed with the complete ASIC flow from micro-architecture to customer deployment.
• Engage in post-silicon debug and correlation.
• Develop ASIC specifications and micro-architecture for signal processing and communications algorithms.
• Assist in design automation of various CAD/EDA flow tasks.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields with 5+ years of professional experience, or Master’s/PhD with 3+ years.
• 5+ years of experience in multi-million gates digital/mixed-signal IC design at 16nm or smaller technology.
• Familiarity with the entire design cycle from micro-architecture specification to post-silicon debug and lab support.
• Experience with Verilog, SystemVerilog, Python, and Unix shell.
• Experience in both RTL development (block and subsystem) and gate-level verification and debug.
• Ability to multi-task, be flexible and adaptable to a demanding environment.
• Effective communication and presentation skills and a team player.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base pay range (CAD) 98,100 – 130,800 per year.
