About the Role Sher Edling seeks a Staff Attorney to work with all attorneys and staff to assist with discovery tasks and effective case prosecution. The role focuses on discovery-related work, legal and factual research, and drafting discovery-related documents to support case strategy.
What You'll Do
- Identify key documents produced in discovery and code in accordance with the review manual.
- Complete regular memos summarizing results of document review, and apply findings to case outlines, timelines, and proof charts.
- Review and code client documents for production and privilege, in accordance with the review manual.
- Respond to queries from other document reviewers and provide guidance and training regarding document review and coding.
- Prepare and update document review and/or coding manuals.
- Prepare and review privilege logs.
- Assist attorneys in preparing for depositions by identifying potential exhibits and drafting deposition outlines.
- Communicate regularly with case teams about review progress and noteworthy documents to integrate findings into overall case strategy.
- Develop an understanding of the legal and factual underpinnings of the assigned cases.
- Additional duties: assist with building/predictive coding models, conduct legal and factual research, assist with custodial information gathering, run search term reports and data statistics for discovery review projects, and draft discovery responses and motions.
What We're Looking For

- Must be or become proficient in document review platforms, including Everlaw.
Nice to Have
- Experience with predictive coding models for document review (optional).
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $72,000 - $105,000 per year, depending on experience and geographic location (DOE).
