About the Role Taft is seeking a team-oriented Staff Attorney to join the Litigation group in the Chicago office. The role centers on handling litigation tasks with a focus on drafting pleadings and dispositive motions, managing complex discovery in large cases, and preparing for and participating in depositions and court appearances. Federal court experience is preferred.
What You'll Do
- Draft pleadings and dispositive motions
- Assist in the management of complex discovery in large cases
- Prepare for and participate in depositions and court appearances
- Collaborate with the litigation team and contribute strong research and writing output
What We're Looking For
- At least 5-8 years of litigation experience
- Excellent academic and professional credentials
- Superior research and writing ability
- Strong analytical skills and excellent communication
- Experience drafting pleadings and dispositive motions
- Ability to manage complex discovery in large cases
- Federal court experience preferred
Nice to Have
- Federal court experience is a plus
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $175,000 - $225,000 per year
