Staff Analog Mixed-Signal Design Engineer

About the Role Join Marvell's Optical PHY (CE-OPHY) team in San Diego as a Staff Analog Mixed-Signal Design Engineer to contribute to high-speed transceivers and related analog IP. The role involves architectural investigations, design and verification of analog circuits, and collaboration with layout, verification, and application teams to bring designs from concept to production.

What You'll Do

• Work with the Optical PHY team on architectural investigations and implementation for circuits such as PLL, DLL, ADC, regulators, amplifiers, TX, RX, and CDRs to meet key performance targets.
• Perform design verification using industry-standard tools such as SPICE, Spectre, MATLAB, and related environments.
• Interface with layout, verification, and application teams and manage delivery of analog IP to bring designs from concept to production.

What We're Looking For

• Hands-on experience in designing mixed-signal circuits including ADCs, DACs, RX, TX, PLLs, filters, bandgap bias circuits, regulators, and other analog circuits.
• Specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise.
• Ability to apply innovative solutions to resolve complex issues.
• History of identifying and developing best practices that deliver high-quality and effective solutions.
• Strong knowledge of deep sub-micron CMOS technologies.
• Knowledge and experience on low power and high-speed design techniques.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Strong knowledge of IC design CAD tools such as Spectre, Spice, Matlab, Hsim, Verilog, etc.
• Lab testing skills to evaluate prototype units to the design specification.
• MS in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of related experience or PhD in Electrical Engineering with 2+ years of related experience.
