The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a collaborative environment, managing multiple funding sources, and partnering with leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting and stewardship of public and private funds.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare and post journal entries and maintain accurate general ledger activity

  • Perform month-end and year-end close procedures, including bank and fund reconciliations

  • Prepare financial and statistical reports for government grants, contracts, and private funding sources

  • Assist with audits and ensure compliance with funding and reporting requirements

  • Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation records

  • Review and verify supporting documentation for financial transactions

  • Prepare annual business and informational tax filings as required

  • Monitor program spending and reconcile expenses to approved budgets

  • Support contract and grant reporting while ensuring compliance with funding guidelines

  • Partner with program leaders, finance staff, and operational teams on budgeting and financial analysis

  • Assist with fiscal monitoring of subcontractors and collaborative partners

  • Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives

  • What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of accounting experience

  • Experience working with nonprofit organizations preferred

  • Understanding of grant accounting, fund accounting, or restricted funding

  • Experience preparing reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reports

  • Knowledge of month-end close processes

  • Strong Excel and analytical skills

  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
