I'm working on an opportunity with a highly respected, established Silicon Valley venture capital firm known for partnering with influential entrepreneurs and investors.
They're looking for a Staff Accountant to join their general ledger team. This is a great opportunity for someone with solid GL fundamentals who wants to break into the private investment industry, work alongside a knowledgeable finance team, and build a long-term career in a stable, collaborative environment.
What You'll Do
- Maintain general ledger accounts and support the monthly close
- Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
- Record journal entries and ensure accurate debit and credit activity
- Support financial reporting and account analysis
- Maintain accurate financial records while handling confidential information
- Collaborate with an experienced finance team and contribute to ongoing process improvements
Who They're Looking For
- 2+ years of general ledger accounting experience
- Strong bank reconciliation, debit/credit, and accounting fundamentals
- Experience across industries is welcome—financial services or family office experience is a major plus
- Tech-savvy, organized, and comfortable managing multiple deadlines
- Professional, dependable, and trustworthy with confidential information
- A self-starter who takes ownership and pays close attention to detail
