Staff Accountant

We are looking for a Staff Accountant to support financial reporting, planning, and analysis activities for our organization in Eastern, Arkansas. This role partners closely with accounting and operations teams to produce reliable financial information, strengthen budgeting and forecasting processes, and improve visibility into costs and inventory. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical ability, sound accounting knowledge, and a practical approach to process improvement in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and refine financial models, budgets, and planning tools to reflect changing business needs.

• Partner with operations personnel to verify the accuracy of cost data, inventory activity, and related financial records.

• Contribute to the development of practical budgets and forecasts that support operational and business objectives.

• Evaluate cost trends, uncover key performance drivers, and translate findings into useful metrics for decision-making.

• Review budget-to-actual results, explain variances, and communicate the financial impact of operating decisions to stakeholders.

• Help establish and strengthen internal controls that promote complete, accurate, and timely accounting records.

• Prepare schedules, reports, and supporting documentation for leadership review and audit requirements.

• Recommend and carry out process enhancements that improve efficiency, reporting quality, and workflow effectiveness.

• Provide accounting support for ad hoc analyses, cross-functional initiatives, and other special projects as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a closely related field.

• At least 1 year of relevant accounting experience including budgeting, forecasting, or manufacturing finance is strongly preferred.

• Background in cost accounting and inventory-related transactions within a manufacturing setting.

• Working knowledge of journal entries, general ledger activity, and financial variance analysis.

• Familiarity with corporate tax, sales tax, or corporate tax return support is beneficial.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across accounting and operations teams.

• Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities and contribute in a collaborative environment.
