Job title: Sr. Wealth Strategist

About the Role Senior Wealth Strategist/Client Development Sales Executive at Northern Trust, a key business development role to support growth in wealth management. You will cultivate new relationships with UHNW individuals, families, and institutions, oversee solutions sales strategy, and coordinate with a team of experts to convert prospects to clients, while transitioning ongoing relationships to appropriate internal groups.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and implement a business development strategy for targeted new client bases and UHNW individuals and families.
  • Cultivate new investment management relationships and articulate Northern Trust's wealth management capabilities.
  • Engage with clients and their representatives (e.g., attorneys) on estate planning, wealth transfer, and tax planning.
  • Maintain regular client contact and serve as liaison to internal teams as client needs evolve.
  • Build internal and external networks, including COIs, to identify opportunities and showcase Northern Trust capabilities.
  • Collaborate with a team of specialists to deliver tailored solutions and drive growth.
  • Plan for opportunities in communities and philanthropic organizations.

What We're Looking For

  • 10+ years of sales and relationship management experience, ideally in wealth management.
  • Strong network of COIs for UHNW individuals and families (attorneys, estate planning professionals, CPAs).
  • Knowledge of fiduciary services (trusts, wills, investment management, custody, estate and tax planning) including fee structures.
  • Ability to profile a client's financial landscape and map needs to Northern Trust capabilities.
  • Series 7 and 63 licenses are required.
  • CFP, CFTA, CFA, CIMA strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical and sales skills, plus excellent communication and collaborative approach.
  • Team-oriented and able to work across the organization.

Nice to Have

  • Additional professional designations such as CFP, CFTA, CFA, CIMA are strongly preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $158,010 - $276,460 USD.
