Job title: Sr. Underwriter, Cyber/E&O Underwriting, Sompo Pro
About the Role We are seeking a Senior Underwriter, Cyber/E&O to join the Sompo Pro Underwriting team. You will underwrite Cyber, Tech E&O, Miscellaneous Professional Liability, and related professional liability lines for primary and excess risks, partnering with brokers to deliver strong service and risk assessment. This role is based in our Chicago, IL office and offers opportunities to build lasting relationships within a broad broker network.
What You'll Do
- Underwrite Miscellaneous Professional Liability, Technology Errors and Omissions, Cyber Liability, Media Liability, Architects and Engineers Professional Liability, and Insurance Agents and Brokers for primary and excess risks
- Evaluate all individual risk characteristics and determine capacity, attachment point, terms and pricing
- Maintain and enhance existing broker relationships in the Central region and develop new relationships with both retail and wholesale partners
- Develop and execute marketing plans to retain existing business and generate new opportunities aligned with Sompo Pro’s risk appetite
- Interact, communicate, and negotiate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
What We're Looking For
- Established relationships with Retail and Wholesale Network in Central Marketplace
- Minimum of 5 years of Professional lines underwriting experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to travel approximately 10% of the time
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $125,000 – $150,000 per year
- Actual compensation depends on location, qualifications, and experience
