Job title: Sr Tooling & Molding Engineer
About the Role The Sr Tooling & Molding Engineer will lead the development and release of injection molding tools for new products, coordinating with mold manufacturers to ensure timely, qualified tooling. The role focuses on optimizing the molding process, automation, and production efficiency in the injection molding workshop.
What You'll Do
- Lead new product tooling from development to production release and ensure tooling is qualified for injection molding production.
- Coordinate with mold manufacturers to support new product tooling development.
- Assist department manager with environmental factors, hazards, and project engineering management and controls.
- Demold, mold trial, evaluate molding processes and color; collaborate with project engineers on product debugging and tool debugging.
- Implement and improve automation in the injection molding workshop; help improve labor savings, efficiency, machine-hour utilization, and OEE metrics.
- Ensure tooling is in good condition to run injection molding production and follow up on production issues after tool release.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree or above in mechanical manufacturing, tooling, or materials forming-related disciplines.
- More than 2 years of relevant experience; familiar with injection molding and mold development process; strong knowledge of stamping/injection molding.
- Proficient in Auto CAD, Pro/E, and MS Office.
- CET-4 or higher in English; strong English listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
- Experience managing a mold development team is a plus.
Nice to Have
- Prior experience managing a mold development team is preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: CNY 13,000 – 18,000 per month.
