Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Testing Engineer with a strong focus on Mobile Automation, specifically using Appium. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in software testing, with a proven track record of delivering high quality mobile applications. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to ensure the functionality and performance of our mobile applications.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automated test scripts for mobile applications using Appium
• Collaborate with development teams to understand application requirements and create comprehensive test plans
• Execute manual and automated tests, analyze results, and report defects in a timely manner
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality
• Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
• Maintain and update test documentation, including test cases, test plans, and test reports
• Work closely with cross functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in software testing and mobile automation

Mandatory Skills:

• Strong expertise in Mobile Automation testing with Appium
• Proficient in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript
• Experience with test management tools and defect tracking systems
• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices
• Ability to work in an Agile development environment

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools
• Familiarity with performance testing tools
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services testing
• Experience with other mobile testing frameworks
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

• 5-7 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on mobile applications

• Proven experience in developing and executing automated test scripts using Appium

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
