About the Role A Sr Technical Solution Engineer within Databricks' Cleared Engineering team, focused on ensuring secure GovCloud operations and the reliability of multi-cloud data enclaves and Generative AI software inside air-gapped environments in McLean, VA.
What You'll Do
- Drive technical triage, infrastructure visibility, and incident resolution for Databricks’ multi-cloud data enclaves and Generative AI software running inside air-gapped environments.
- Unblock secure engineering pipelines by serving as the essential secure-zone operational interface for GovCloud system interactions and triaging for internal engineering teams.
- Safely execute and adapt infrastructure scripts, automation tools, and diagnostic workflows within secure boundaries, adhering to modern access guidelines.
- Identify and resolve systemic environment blocks and review infrastructure configurations to ensure streamlined patch deployment pipelines.
- Navigate evolving operational models within secure facilities (SCIF) to maintain guardrails and compliance for GovCloud interactions.
What We're Looking For
- Active TS/SCI security clearance.
- 5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, Support Engineering, DevSecOps, or related technical operational role.
- High-level proficiency in Python, Go, Bash, or Java with the ability to read, edit, and troubleshoot software and infrastructure code.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Hands-on debugging and systems administration experience in major public clouds (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Strong foundation in Linux/Unix, containers (Docker/Kubernetes), and automated patch deployment pipelines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work out of the McLean, VA secure facility and support 24x7 operational coverage within a SCIF as required.
Nice to Have
- Active Counterintelligence (CI) or Full Scope Polygraph (FSP).
- Experience supporting AWS WWPS, OCI Federal, or specialized high-side defense integration environments.
- Experience navigating federal compliance frameworks, GovCloud boundaries, or air-gapped environments.
- Strong professional tenure with ownership in complex engineering or defense-intelligence spaces.
Compensation & Benefits
- Local pay range: $130,200—$178,950 USD. The total compensation may include annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits. Actual compensation depends on factors including skills, experience, and location.
