About this role

About the Role The Sr, Tech Training Specialist will partner with field personnel to assess performance needs and design safety, operations and maintenance training for Power Generation teams. This role leads the development and delivery of training programs using ADDIE/SAT methodologies to ensure effective learning outcomes. What You'll Do

  • Work with customers to determine needs and priorities and develop plans to meet maintenance and other technical training needs for the Power Generation organization.
  • Research and analyze operational, maintenance, and other technical training needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, or consultations with managers, instructors, or customer representatives.
  • Conduct needs and performance analyses to justify new curricula or updates for Power Generation operations, maintenance, and other technical personnel.
  • Develop and edit classroom training materials; provide input to training content; solicit feedback on content, delivery, and processes.
  • Oversee, schedule, deliver, teach and/or facilitate multi-skilled training courses, including CCCT control room simulator training, operating fundamentals of CCCT, instrumentation, electrical, and mechanical maintenance.
  • Apply evaluation models (e.g., Kirkpatrick) to ensure training effectiveness and assess future delivery methods.
  • Develop or update training courses and certification processes; apply ADDIE or other models and maintain course history.
  • Obtain technical reviews, ensure accuracy of revisions, and collaborate with business partners to review/update Training Procedures, Operating Procedures, Maintenance Procedures; manage technical documentation plan.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of technical writing processes and content management to ensure quality, compliance, and reliability of technical publications.
  • Work with minimal supervision to complete work on schedule and budget. What We're Looking For
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; preferred Associate degree in Process Technology.
  • Experience: For Sr, Multi Skilled Tech Training Specialist: 8+ years with degree or 5+ years without; for Sr Staff 12+ years or 5+ years with degree; relevant power generation or related industry experience with ability to deliver, produce and develop training.
  • Travel: Up to 75% to support field locations in Texas, Arkansas, Mississippi, and Louisiana.
  • Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal skills, ability to work with LMS and SharePoint.
  • Technical/Operations Knowledge: Combustion turbine and associated auxiliaries; CCCT knowledge; understanding of steam properties relevant to Power Generation.
  • Additional: Familiarity with Adobe suite, content management, revision control; experience with print, web-based, and electronic delivery of documents; ability to interpret and structure technical manuals and data.
  • Maintenance Skills: One of the following disciplines in addition to Operations: Instrumentation and Controls, Electrical, or Mechanical. Nice to Have
  • Familiarity with Adobe suite products and document management; content management and revision control experience; experience with operating procedures and technical manuals; ability to deliver across print, web, and electronic formats. Compensation & Benefits
