Job title: Sr. Subcontract Administrator
About the Role Senior Subcontracts Administrator responsible for end-to-end lifecycle management of subcontracts in a defense/aerospace environment, ensuring compliance with FAR/DFARS and audit readiness, while balancing strategic supplier relationships and program goals.
What You'll Do
- Manage end-to-end lifecycle of subcontracts from RFP issuance to closeout, ensuring timely execution and adherence to internal policy and FAR/DFARS where applicable.
- Lead negotiations on terms, conditions, pricing, and other procurement actions; maintain meticulous documentation for audit readiness.
- Issue and maintain complex subcontracts (firm fixed price, cost plus, etc.) across development, production, repair, and other program phases.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, program management, quality, and finance to align subcontract requirements with program milestones and supplier health.
- Interface with suppliers, lead meetings, and foster productive relationships to ensure conformance to subcontract requirements.
- Support critical government and commercial proposals, manage material receipts and approve invoices; support internal and external audits.
- Partner with subcontract program managers to drive supplier performance and ensure timely closeout; demonstrate proactive, efficient, and accountable work.
- Exhibit clear verbal and written communication, organizational discipline, attention to detail, independent judgment, strategic thinking, and openness to feedback.
What We're Looking For
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of government and commercial contracts; proficient in FAR/DFARS regulations.
- Ability to operate efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Strong experience leading procurement flow from RFPs to award and closeout; adept at subcontract negotiations.
- Experience with Oracle ERP or similar procurement systems is a plus.
