Sr Staff Test Engineer - ATE

Renesas’ India For India is seeking an experienced Test Engineer to join our team. This role offers a unique and exciting opportunity to work on the development of state-of-the-art Power/Analog devices. You will be part of a cross-functional team, driving the product from conception to volume production.

Responsibilities include: work with design and systems teams to understand specifications; generate test plans, create test and characterisation programs, design ATE hardware interface boards; debug characterizing silicon on ATE and correlate results with bench data; analyze silicon results and support failure analysis tasks; perform statistical analysis of yield fallout, debug and fix yield issues and optimize test time; work with production teams to release products to volume production; define and implement test strategy for new Power/Analog products; develop ATE test hardware and software; perform silicon qualification and characterization including hardware development; comprehensive device debugging, design validation and failure analysis; drive for robust and cost-effective test solutions while ensuring product quality.

Requirements include: 10+ years of experience as a Test Engineer developing hardware and software at Wafer Sort and Final Test for PMIC, temperature sensors and I3C products; Test Lead experience preferred; extensive experience on mFLEX, Advantest 93K, SPEA, Cohu DiamondX, Teradyne Eagle or equivalent analog ATE (iFlex, LTX, VLCT), with Cohu experience preferred as a differentiator; experience using I2C, I3C, and SPI protocols as well as trim implementations for power IC products; characterization test program and hardware development experience, production test program and hardware development experience; strong technical knowledge of electronic devices and circuits and analog test techniques; data analysis skills using Spotfire, dataPower or equivalent tool based on STDF; familiarity with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, sourcemeters and loads; experience with product engineering activities such as yield improvement and test time reduction; strong understanding of the IC product development process from concept to volume production.

Preferred qualifications: experience with test program and hardware offload to OSATs; proficiency in programming and scripting in C++, Python, C#; LabVIEW and TestStand experience; revision control tools experience (Subversion, Git); demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills; strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions; strong time management skills enabling on-time project delivery; demonstrated ability to build strong, influential relationships; ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment; willingness to take initiative and drive for results.
