Job title: Sr Staff Analog Mixed-Signal Design Engineer
About the Role Join Marvell’s Optical PHY (CE-OPHY) team in San Diego as a Sr Staff Analog Mixed-Signal Design Engineer. You will architect and implement high-speed analog/mixed-signal circuits (PLL, DLL, ADC/DAC, regulators, amplifiers, TX/RX, CDRs) and drive IP from concept to production to meet aggressive data-rate targets.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate on architectural investigations and implementation for circuits such as PLL, DLL, ADC, regulators, amplifiers, TX/RX, CDRs to meet key performance targets.
- Perform design verification using SPICE, Spectre, MATLAB, and other industry-standard tools.
- Interface with layout, verification, and application teams and manage the delivery of analog IP to bring designs from concept to production.
What We're Looking For
- Hands-on experience designing mixed-signal circuits including ADCs, DACs, RX, TX, PLLs, filters, bandgap bias circuits, regulators, and other analog circuits.
- Specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise; ability to apply innovative solutions to resolve complex issues.
- History of identifying and developing best practices that deliver high-quality and effective solutions.
- Strong knowledge of deep sub-micron CMOS technologies; experience with low power and high-speed design techniques.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
- Strong knowledge of IC design CAD tools such as Spectre, Spice, Matlab, Hsim, Verilog, etc.
- Lab testing skills to evaluate prototype units against specifications.
- MS in Electrical Engineering with 5-10+ years of related experience or PhD in Electrical Engineering with 3-5+ years of related experience.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: USD 149,500 - 221,220 per year.
