About this role

Job title: Sr. Staff Analog Design engineer

About the Role Senior AMS Verification Engineer to implement and verify high-speed analog and mixed-signal circuits for photonic transceivers and electronic ICs, working with multidisciplinary teams across photonics, system, packaging, and validation.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and implement mixed-signal verification for silicon photonics based SerDes.
  • Design and develop verification testbenches using industry-standard verification languages and methodologies.
  • Write and execute test cases to verify analog circuits for functionality, performance, and reliability.
  • Review and analyze verification results and provide feedback to design teams.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of verification plans, test results, and design changes.
  • Engage in top-down architectural analysis of AMS systems; understand digital/photonics subsystems and their requirements; drive transistor-level feasibility and verification plans.
  • Define design specifications and verification plans; define production and bench-level test plans.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with 8+ years in high-performance analog/mixed-signal design and verification.
  • Experience with architecture, design, and production in high-speed data converter architectures and ultra-low-power analog circuits; digitally assisted analog circuits.
  • Solid experience with EDA CAD tools such as Cadence Virtuoso or SimVision.
  • Strong fundamentals in detailed transistor-level design; experience with design, layout, and production test engineers; high-precision analog circuits (linear regulators, current sensors, bandgaps, DACs, ADCs); RF/High-Speed techniques; MATLAB/Simulink/Verilog-A modeling.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with digital/VLSI, AI/ML, photonics, and packaging teams.
  • Strong debugging, problem-solving, and documentation skills; willingness to learn and adapt.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with silicon photonics based SerDes or related photonics integration.
  • Familiarity with packaging considerations and validation environments.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive compensation and great benefits; collaborative, transparent, and inclusive work environment.
  • Opportunities to learn from industry experts and work with cutting-edge technology and industry-standard tools.
  • Additional information on what it’s like to work at Marvell is available on the Careers page.
