About the Role The Sr. Specialist, Manufacturing Engineer will support manufacturing operations for mission-critical defense technology programs. You will help design for manufacturability, optimize processes, and drive continuous improvement to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness across production lines. What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes for complex hardware used in space, air, land, sea, and cyber domains.
- Collaborate with design, quality, supply chain, and program teams to ensure manufacturability, testability, and on-time delivery.
- Lead process improvements using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies; reduce cycle times, waste, and cost.
- Support new product introductions and production readiness reviews; troubleshoot issues in ramp and sustainment phases.
- Develop and maintain manufacturing work instructions, process parameters, and validation protocols. What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering or related field; 5+ years manufacturing engineering experience in high-reliability hardware.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, DFx/DFM, IPC standards, quality systems, and product lifecycle.
- Experience with data analysis, process control, root cause analysis, and problem solving.
- Effective cross-functional collaboration, written and verbal communication skills, and ability to work in a dynamic defense environment.
