About this role
About the Role Join L3Harris Broadband Communication Systems (BCS) in Salt Lake City as an EMI/EMC engineer responsible for design support and testing of our modems, power supplies, antennas, and communication systems for military applications. You will create and execute EMI/EMC plans to ensure compliance and support system-level integration. What You'll Do
- Create EMI Control Plan, Test Plan, Test Procedure, Test Report and other applicable documents.
- Perform pre-test setup and calibration measurements prior to testing.
- Perform design and test activities to achieve EMI compliance.
- Utilize TILE! or similar EMI test software.
- Support system and sub-system development efforts and design reviews, including sub-system partitioning, packaging, internal and external cable design, grounding and isolation requirements, CCA layout recommendations, schematic development, grounding maps, trade studies, analysis and simulation activities related to EMI.
- Apply engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, test, and evaluate L3H programs for Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3).
- Participate in the proposal process for programs with EMI/EMC requirements.
- Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance. What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
