Job title: Sr. Solutions Architect, Retail Northeast - United States
About the Role Senior Solutions Architect for Retail and CPG accounts, partnering with Account Executives to define and direct the technical strategy for our largest customers. You will drive data-driven transformations and ML/AI adoption with Databricks, while mentoring teammates and building technical champions within the accounts.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the main technical voice for 1-5 enterprise Retail/CPG accounts, in collaboration with the Account Executive.
- Define and execute the technical strategy to drive adoption of Databricks and ML/AI capabilities across accounts.
- Lead proofs-of-concept and coordinate with hands-on resources to demonstrate products and implement solutions.
- Build and enable technical champions within the customer; align technical strategies with Databricks solutions.
- Provide structured mentorship for other team members and contribute to overall team capability.
- Help customers evaluate Databricks as part of their strategy and support data-driven transformation.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in very large (> $1m ARR) Retail and/or CPG-related space.
- 3+ years in a pre-sales capacity or supporting sales activity.
- Technical background in big data, data science, and cloud.
- Demonstrated ability to drive data-driven business transformation and change with data.
- 3+ years design/implementation experience in big data technologies (Hadoop, NoSQL, MPP, OLTP, OLAP) or full lifecycle data science solutions.
- Production data systems maintenance and extension; production programming experience in Python, R, Scala, or Java.
- Nice to have: Databricks Certification.
