Job title: Sr. Solutions Architect
About the Role Lead technical engagements with strategic prospects and customers to architect and implement the Databricks Lakehouse Platform solutions. Serve as a technical advisor to the sales team and a customer advocate with product and engineering to drive data-driven outcomes and enterprise integrations.
What You'll Do
- Partner with the sales team to define account strategies and grow your book of business, driving customer success with Databricks.
- Consult on Big Data architectures, implement proof-of-concepts for strategic projects across data engineering, data science and machine learning, and SQL analytics workflows.
- Validate integrations with cloud services, home-grown tools, and other third-party applications.
- Collaborate with fellow Solutions Architects to support customers and communities, and promote Databricks open-source projects (Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow).
- Travel to customer locations within your region as needed.
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years in data engineering, data science, technical architecture, or similar pre-sales/consulting role.
- 8+ years of experience with Big Data technologies, including Apache Spark, AI, Data Science, Data Engineering, Hadoop, Cassandra, etc.
- Strong consulting / customer-facing experience across multiple industries.
- Coding experience in Python, R, Java, Apache Spark, or Scala.
- Experience building distributed data systems and solutions with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Willingness to travel to customers in the region.
