About the Role Databricks is seeking experienced Senior Software Engineers with large-scale distributed system experience to join the Networking Infrastructure team. You will design and automate the networking foundations for large-scale compute clusters across all the major cloud providers, connecting millions of VMs running on Databricks, and lead the design and development of secure and scalable connectivity powering data/AI workloads.
What You'll Do
- Design and implement secure, scalable networking for multi-cloud compute clusters and services across Databricks' platform.
- Automate networking foundations for large-scale deployments and ensure robust connectivity for data/AI workloads across cloud providers.
- Collaborate with product management, operations, and other engineering teams to deliver robust, scalable networking systems.
- Mentor and lead as a hands-on leader in a fast-paced, distributed-systems environment.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of production-level experience in Python, Java, Scala, C++, or a similar language.
- 4+ years of experience developing large-scale distributed systems from scratch.
- Experience with SaaS platforms or Service-Oriented Architectures.
- Extensive experience working on large-scale compute clusters, network connectivity, and automation.
Compensation & Benefits
- Local Pay Range: $157,000—$213,800 USD
- The total compensation may include annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.
