About the Role Databricks is seeking experienced Senior Software Engineers to join the Networking Infrastructure team. You will design and automate the networking foundations for large-scale compute clusters across cloud providers, connecting millions of VMs and powering data/AI workloads. This is a hands-on leadership role in a fast-paced environment addressing multicloud and distributed systems challenges.
What You'll Do
- Design and automate networking foundations for large-scale compute clusters across major cloud providers.
- Lead the design and development of secure and scalable connectivity powering data / AI workloads.
- Collaborate with product management, operations, and other engineering teams to deliver robust, scalable networking systems.
- Provide hands-on leadership in a fast-paced environment tackling novel multicloud and distributed systems challenges.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of production-level experience in Python, Java, Scala, C++, or a similar language.
- 4+ years of experience developing large-scale distributed systems from scratch.
- Experience working on a SaaS platform or with Service-Oriented Architectures.
- Extensive experience working on large-scale compute clusters, network connectivity, and automation.

Compensation & Benefits
- Local Pay Range: $166,000—$225,000 USD
- The total compensation package may include annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.
