About the Role Paramount is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Web Architecture team, responsible for building and maintaining the foundational frontend platform powering Paramount+ and other supported brands. You will act as a technical authority across frontend teams by defining patterns, reviewing architectural decisions, and helping teams navigate complex challenges. The role focuses on designing, extending, and evolving a shared frontend framework in a fast-paced environment that values agility, innovation, and high technical standards. What You'll Do
- Build and maintain the foundational frontend platform powering Paramount+ and other brands.
- Serve as a technical authority across frontend teams by defining patterns, reviewing architectural decisions, and guiding teams through complex challenges.
- Design, extend, and evolve a shared frontend framework in a fast-paced, collaborative environment that values agility, innovation, and high technical standards.
- Work independently in large codebases, writing clear and maintainable code, balancing correctness, performance, and user impact.
- Communicate tradeoffs effectively, advocate sound architecture with pragmatism, and document decisions through scalable, asynchronous channels.
- Treat CI/CD, observability, and code quality as core responsibilities. What We're Looking For
- Strong experience as a frontend software engineer with ability to work independently in large codebases.
- Ability to define patterns, review architectural decisions, and help teams navigate complex frontend challenges.
- Track record of balancing correctness, performance, and user impact.
- Ability to contribute beyond the immediate team, communicate tradeoffs effectively, advocate pragmatic architecture, and document decisions.
- Experience with CI/CD, observability, and code quality as core responsibilities.
