Job title: Sr. Software Development Engineer - Adaptive and Embedded Group

About the Role AMD is seeking a dynamic, upbeat software engineer to join the Adaptive and Embedded Group. As a key contributor, you will help AMD deliver high-quality, industry-leading technologies to market for AMD-Xilinx SoCs and boards, focusing on bring-up, initialization, platform and power management. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize systems that enable AI, data centers, PCs and embedded applications.

What You'll Do

• Validate new software features before releasing them to customers.
• Contribute to a high-functioning feature team.
• Software Development: Develop Bare Metal firmware, drivers or tools/apps for bring-up, initialization, platform & power management of AMD-Xilinx SOCs and Boards.
• Safety & Security: Responsible for all the phases of functional-safety (FuSa) artifacts & security best practices.
• Collaborate closely with multiple teams to deliver key planning solutions and the technology to support them.
• Help contribute to the design and implementation of future architecture for a highly scalable, durable, and innovative system.
• Work very closely with dev teams and Project Managers to drive results.
• Continuous learning: Willingness to learn broadly on the job.

What We're Looking For

• Hands-on experience in C, C++.
• Understanding of object-oriented-design principles.
• Understanding of Software Engineering principles, Data structures, algorithms, Computer Architecture, Embedded systems, Operating Systems concepts and multithread programming.
• Familiarity with Linux and modern software tools and techniques for development.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: USD 145,600.00 - 218,400.00 per year.
