About the Role Motorola Solutions is seeking an experienced Sr. RF Engineer to contribute across RF circuit design for multiple products within the Applied Technology organization. The role focuses on discrete RF circuits, PAs, LNAs, and RF front ends, with collaboration with customers and cross-functional teams to define requirements and drive hardware development. What You'll Do
- Generate schematics including RF, analog, power circuits, interface logic, sensors, and peripherals.
- Create hardware designs with a focus on discrete RF circuits, PAs, LNAs, and backend.
- Develop RF front ends operating from sub-GHz up to mmWave.
- Simulate circuit performance using ADS, CST, Spice, and other tools.
- Perform RF lineup calculations for Rx and Tx including noise figure, IM, PA technologies, and harmonic suppression.
- Design and optimize circuits for minimal current drain to maximize battery life.
- Implement analog circuits (A/D & D/A converters, op-amps, LEDs), power supplies and regulators.
- Use schematic and layout tools (Cadence a plus) for PCB routing, impedance matching, and power routing.
- Drive product and feature requirements, architecture, design, and test strategy with customers and engineering teams.
- Write test procedures, interface control documents, and other documentation.
- Support full product development lifecycle from architecture to bring-up, factory support, validation, and customer support.
- Collaborate with hardware, software, FPGA, mechanical teams and customers to build trust and align stakeholders.
