Sr. Resource Scheduler
Our Client, a Public Utility that provides natural gas and electricity to the majority of Michigan's 10 million residents, is seeking a talented and self-driven individual for needs serving in the role of Sr. Resource Scheduler for a 12 Month + Contract opportunity.
This position is within the Maintenance & Construction Scheduling department and provides direct support for the Gas Distribution Department.
This is a hybrid role and requires reporting onsite 3 or 4 days a week in Lansing.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establish and execute a daily plan for the work; may include organizing and dispatching assignments, facilitating meetings, short-range forecasting, etc
- Communicate effectively inline with supported business unit processes/procedures; may include interacting with supervision, field operations, or other operational supporting groups
- Utilize various systems to monitor work, create/submit orders and requests, observe data and make scheduling adjustments as necessary. Some roles may require a deeper dive into data review to make appropriate modifications
- Support emergent matters inline with the business units processes/procedures; may include escalations, volume monitoring, etc.
- Perform business unit specific tasks as needed; may include various reporting and taking appropriate action, identifying training opportunities, creating standards, etc.
- Foster relationships with operations leaders and line works.
- Build a reliable and efficient schedule.
- Line up work with any 3rd party contractors and additional resource as needed per the job
- Other non-essential duties as assigned or may be necessary
Job Requirements
REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to work effectively in urgent situations
- 3+ or more years of customer service experience as a resource and work scheduler
- SAP experience is required
- Strong knowledge of MS Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Associates degree or higher
- Professional demeanor
- Proactive in addressing things that may arise in the day to day of the job
- Attention to detail

Contract positions
Will be employed and paid hourly by iMPact Business Group. Benefits (medical, dental & vision) are available after 90 days of employment.
Permanent placed employees
