About the Role The Sr. Relationship Advisor will manage a sophisticated wealth management client base, delivering goal-driven, holistic advice. The role combines deep fiduciary knowledge with proactive client service and collaboration with advisors to understand client needs and regulatory requirements. The position emphasizes prudent risk management and thoughtful communication.
What You'll Do
- Manage assigned account base of sophisticated wealth management clients by collaborating with client service teams, clients, and professional advisors to understand needs and goals.
- Lead client conversations for goals-driven wealth management and holistic advice; provide proactive guidance on Northern Trust products/services, regulatory/tax changes, and appropriate actions.
- Leverage fiduciary knowledge and NT resources to identify opportunities for relationship enhancement; maintain extensive knowledge of NT fiduciary standards.
- Deliver focused client service with responsiveness, diplomacy, and timely communication; demonstrate strong time management.
- Travel to meet clients when appropriate to support revenue and new business opportunities.
- Teach and mentor less experienced partners; advise Relationship Advisors on fiduciary issues and serve as subject-matter expert on fiduciary relationships.
- Pursue ongoing development of fiduciary and advisory skills; apply analytical thinking to develop innovative solutions.
- Maintain eligibility to serve as Lead Relationship Manager (LRM) for all relationships.
What We're Looking For
- Extensive knowledge of fiduciary standards, financial products and services, and applicable laws/regulations; experience with fiduciary accounts to service complex relationships.
- Technical knowledge of investments, tax, legal, and operations; strong problem solving, negotiation, delegation, leadership, and sales skills.
- College/university degree; JD or similar credential strongly preferred.
- 12-15 years of experience as a relationship manager or attorney in trust administration, estate administration, estate planning, or related fields.

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $189,290 - $331,200 USD per year.
