About the Role

Amazon is seeking a Sr. Project Manager for the Global Engineering, Maintenance, & Sustainability (GEMS) organization to oversee and coordinate the execution of new build infrastructure and expansion/retrofit projects. You will lead a team of support personnel, coordinate resources, and drive on-time delivery, budget adherence, and standardization across our network while managing medium to large capital projects with significant schedules and coordinating multiple vendors across the organization.

What You'll Do

  • Manage new and existing programs, delivering difficult projects across multiple organizations; partner with other program managers to secure resources, scope efforts, set milestones, and drive delivery.
  • Own program communication, accelerate progress by driving crisp decisions, clear blockers, and escalate as appropriate.
  • Influence design and development of strategic processes; work with program managers and business leaders to impact critical initiatives.
  • Develop, implement, and govern execution of all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the assigned program, project, or sub-task.
  • Provide accountability while reporting on status, asking for help, and escalating issues as necessary.
  • Responsible for overall project schedule enabling teams to meet milestones and Go-Live.
  • Travel up to 80% nationwide; travel involves air and driving to site locations; valid driver's license is required.

What We're Looking For

  • Basic Qualifications: 6+ years of program or project management experience; experience using data and metrics to drive improvements; experience owning program strategy and end-to-end delivery with results communicated to senior leadership; Bachelor's degree.
  • Preferred Qualifications: 3+ years driving process improvements; Master's degree or MBA in business, operations, HR, organizational development, instructional design or related field; Knowledge of general AI tools; Experience designing, implementing, and scaling upskilling/workforce development programs across large-scale operations or corporate environments, including forecasting workforce needs and using analytics to drive decisions.

  • Knowledge of general AI tools (to support workforce development and automation initiatives).
  • Experience designing and scaling upskilling, apprenticeship, or workforce development programs across large-scale operations.
