About this role

Sr. Product Manager, Ford Pro Sales Solutions

Overview

At Ford, you’ll work on ideas that matter, alongside passionate people who want to make a global impact. Together, we’re shaping the next era of transportation—grounded in purpose, driven by progress. Make your move. We made history and now we work to transform the future – for our customers, our communities and our families. You'll see your work on the road every day, helping people move freely and pursue their dreams. At Ford, you can build more than vehicles. Come build what matters. Enterprise Technology plays a critical part in shaping the future of mobility. If you’re looking for the chance to leverage advanced technology to redefine the transportation landscape, enhance the customer experience and improve people’s lives, this is the opportunity for you. Join us and challenge your IT expertise and analytical skills to help create vehicles that are as smart as you are. In this position, the Senior Product Manager is responsible for defining why we should invest, what we should build and why it matters now. This role serves as the strategic product leader for digital products and capabilities, ensuring investments deliver measurable customer, business and operational outcomes. You will work closely with business partners, consumers, engineering, UX, analytics and partner teams across geographic regions to identify opportunities, validate assumptions, establish product strategy and create roadmaps aligned to organizational objectives. You will translate customer and business needs into prioritized product investments, measurable goals, and clearly defined features that enable teams to deliver value with confidence. As part of the product triad, you will partner closely with Engineering Managers and UX leaders. Product Management owns the strategic direction, prioritization, epic-level requirements, acceptance criteria and acceptance of delivered value. Engineering owns the technical approach, story-level decomposition, estimates, sequencing, Scrum ceremonies and software execution. UX owns research-informed experience design and validation. Ford encourages employees to use approved artificial intelligence capabilities as part of their work. Successful candidates will understand how to apply AI technology to improve research, synthesis, analysis, planning, documentation, communication and decision-making, independent of any AI provider or user interface. Familiarity with Ford's internal PM tool Krystal is helpful but not required; curiosity and a demonstrated ability to learn and adopt approved AI-enabled workflows are expected. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of Ford Pro digital experiences while helping commercial customers and internal stakeholders achieve greater productivity, efficiency and business success. Based in Dearborn, MI, this is a hybrid position with a requirement to be onsite four or more days per week. Relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates.

What you'll do

  • Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, objectives and priorities aligned to customer needs and business goals. Clearly articulate why an opportunity matters, what outcome or capability should be delivered, and why it should be prioritized now. Develop and maintain multi-quarter, outcome-oriented product roadmaps that communicate strategic direction, expected value and measurable goals. Partner with business stakeholders and business partners across regions to understand strategic priorities, customer challenges, operational pain points and market opportunities. Lead product discovery through customer interviews, stakeholder workshops, analytics, user research, experimentation and opportunity assessment. Validate product opportunities and assumptions using customer feedback, qualitative and quantitative insights, and evidence-based decision-making. Define product objectives, key performance indicators and success measures; regularly review results and use insights to guide future investment and roadmap decisions. Own epic- and feature-level requirements, including problem statements, intended outcomes, scope, constraints and acceptance criteria. Prioritize features and product investments based on customer value, business impact, strategic alignment, evidence, risk, dependencies and available capacity. Collaborate with Engineering Managers to obtain estimates, understand technical constraints and sequence prioritized work into achievable quarterly plans. Work with UX leaders and designers to ensure customer needs are understood, experiences are validated and design direction supports the intended product outcomes. Remain engaged throughout delivery as the source of product context, priority decisions and acceptance criteria while Engineering leads story decomposition, ceremonies and execution. Coordinate product-related stakeholders, dependencies, approvals and decisions required to support successful delivery and adoption. Lead or coordinate user acceptance testing, review completed work against acceptance criteria and provide timely product acceptance and go-live approval. Lead stakeholder roadmap reviews, prioritization discussions, product demonstrations and outcome reporting with clear communication of decisions and tradeoffs. Build alignment across business functions, technical disciplines, leadership levels, cultures and geographic regions, including teams working across multiple time zones. Use Ford-approved AI capabilities to accelerate product discovery, research synthesis, analysis, planning, documentation and stakeholder communication. Identify practical opportunities where AI can improve the customer experience, employee productivity, operational efficiency or product outcomes while following company policies and responsible-use expectations. Continuously learn and adopt approved tools and modern product-management practices, including Ford's internal PM tool Krystal where appropriate. Mentor and coach other Product Managers and contribute to consistent, outcome-oriented product-management practices across the organization.
