Job title: Sr. Product Manager, Data Governance
About the Role
Lead and coordinate product activities for Unity Catalog’s data governance capabilities, from ideation to launch, engaging enterprise customers to inform strategy and ensure broad adoption. You will work with engineering and cross-functional stakeholders to define roadmaps and deliver governance, security, and productivity features across the Lakehouse.
What You'll Do
- Design and launch governance and security capabilities as part of Unity Catalog.
- Define and build platform services that enable Databricks’ product teams to easily add workload-specific governance capabilities.
- Take new features from ideation to full launch and rollout, including a marketing plan, field enablement, and broad customer adoption across all segments.
- Bring insights about the governance persona, our customers, and the market to the engineering and leadership team by working closely with customers and partners.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, sales, marketing, partnerships, etc.) to ensure product success pre- and post-launch.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of enterprise B2B Product Management experience.
- Educational background in computer science or related engineering practice.
- Experience working with databases and/or data warehouses, security, and catalogs.
- Experience building user-facing products for Data Analysts, Scientists, and/or Engineers.
- Strong track record of delivering products with cross-functional teams common to the enterprise software industry (field engineering, sales, marketing, partnerships, etc.).
- Experience in working closely with enterprise customers and ISV partners in the data market.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: USD 148,800 – 204,525 per year (Zone 2 Pay Range).
- The total compensation package may include annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.
