THE ROLE:

AMD is seeking a Senior Product Development Engineer to join the Data Center CPU Product Development team. In this role, you will help drive the validation, characterization, debug, and production readiness of AMD's next-generation server CPU products. Working across silicon design, validation, test, manufacturing, and quality teams, you will lead technical initiatives that improve product quality, accelerate issue resolution, and ensure successful product execution from silicon bring-up through high-volume manufacturing.

THE PERSON:

You are a highly motivated engineer with strong experience in CPU, platform, or silicon product development. You thrive in fast-paced, cross-functional environments, enjoy solving complex technical problems, and have a passion for product quality and execution. You combine strong debug and analytical skills with the ability to influence technical decisions, drive initiatives independently, and collaborate effectively with teams across the product lifecycle.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drive post-silicon validation, characterization, and product development activities for server CPU products.
• Debug complex silicon, platform, system, and manufacturing issues throughout the product lifecycle.
• Develop and enhance test automation, diagnostics, and data analysis solutions.
• Partner with design, validation, quality, and manufacturing teams to improve product readiness and execution.
• Analyze product performance, yield, reliability, and quality metrics to identify improvement opportunities.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance while driving cross-functional initiatives.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Product development, validation, or characterization experience with CPUs, SoCs, or complex silicon products.
• Strong system-level debug skills across hardware, firmware, software, and platform environments.
• Proficiency with Python and Linux-based development or automation workflows.
• Experience with silicon bring-up, root-cause analysis, and issue resolution in production environments.
• Knowledge of server architectures, x86 platforms, PCIe, memory subsystems, and high-speed interfaces.
• Experience collaborating across geographically distributed engineering teams and influencing technical decisions.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
• Advanced degree or relevant industry certifications are a plus.
