Role Summary

The Senior Product Marketing Manager, Competitive Intelligence (IC4) analyzes the cybersecurity landscape and converts technical and market insights into strategies that influence:

  • Product positioning.
  • Messaging.
  • Product roadmaps.
  • Go-to-market plans.
  • Competitive strategy.

The role bridges technical security knowledge, market research, and business strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Track cybersecurity and AI security trends, competitors, customer expectations, and market shifts.

  • Analyze competitor technologies, architectures, integrations, and security capabilities.

  • Conduct technical evaluations using research, benchmarks, and industry data.

  • Translate complex security concepts into clear recommendations for business and technical teams.

  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to influence:

  • Product priorities.

  • Investment decisions.

  • Differentiation strategies.

  • Create competitive intelligence materials, including:

  • Executive reports.

  • Competitive battlecards.

  • Sales enablement content.

  • Strategic recommendations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in:

  • Marketing

  • Computer Science

  • Business

  • Related field + 5 years experience in product marketing, cybersecurity, competitive intelligence, or related areas.

OR

  • Master’s degree + 3 years relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong cybersecurity knowledge in areas such as:

  • Identity security.

  • Cloud security.

  • Endpoint security.

  • Data security.

  • Security operations.

  • AI security.

  • Ability to evaluate security products through:

  • Technical analysis.

  • Benchmarking.

  • Independent research.

  • Experience with:

  • Software development.

  • Application security.

  • DevSecOps.

  • Secure coding.

  • Software supply chain security.

  • Ability to explain complex technical ideas to both executives and engineers.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and influencing skills.

  • Security certifications (CISSP, GIAC, cloud security certifications) are a plus.

Compensation (U.S.)

  • Base salary range: $106,400 – $203,600/year
  • San Francisco Bay Area & New York City: $137,600 – $222,600/year
  • Additional benefits and compensation may apply.
