Sr. Payroll Specialist
This role is highly hands-on and responsible for the full end-to-end payroll process, managing accurate and compliant multi-state payroll from data entry through reconciliation, reporting, and payroll tax compliance. The position requires extensive experience with Workday and ADP, maintaining employee payroll records, processing benefits and leave transactions, reconciling payroll to the general ledger, preparing accruals and journal entries, and partnering with HR and Accounting to resolve payroll issues. Additional responsibilities include administering complex compensation transactions such as RSUs/equity awards, supporting audits, ensuring regulatory compliance, driving payroll process improvements and system enhancements, and leveraging Workday and other HRIS platforms to streamline payroll operations in a public company environment.
The ideal candidate will have Workday, Payroll, and Benefits experience.
