Sr. Manager, Global Sourcing, Easton PA

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Senior Manager, Global Sourcing is responsible for developing and executing global sourcing strategies that ensure the optimal balance of cost, quality, service, innovation, sustainability, and risk management across the supply base. This position leads strategic supplier relationships, contract negotiations, category management initiatives, and cross-functional sourcing programs supporting global business objectives.

This role collaborates closely with Supply Chain, Operations, Marketing, Product Development, Engineering, Quality, Finance, Sustainability, and international regional teams to drive continuous value creation and supply assurance. The Senior Manager serves as a key leader in supplier performance management, global sourcing expansion, and procurement transformation initiatives including digital procurement and ERP optimization.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Sourcing & Category Management

  • Develop and execute global sourcing strategies across direct and indirect spend categories.
  • Lead category planning, market analysis, and supplier segmentation activities.
  • Identify low-cost country sourcing opportunities while balancing quality, service, and risk requirements.
  • Drive total cost of ownership (TCO) improvements and long-term value creation.
  • Establish sourcing roadmaps aligned with corporate growth, innovation, and sustainability goals.
  • Manages the corporate dollar investment in respect to asset management (people and equipment), production commitments and supplier relationships to support customer service levels, on-time deliveries and inventory turns as established by business unit.

Strategic Planning & Analytics

  • Utilize advanced modeling and analytics tools to evaluate global sourcing alternatives and business scenarios.
  • Develop total-cost-of-ownership analyses to support sourcing and network decisions.
  • Identify and execute cost savings, productivity improvements, and service enhancements.
  • Establish KPIs and dashboards measuring sourcing effectiveness, supply chain performance, inventory efficiency, and network health.
  • Present recommendations and business cases to senior leadership.

Supplier Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key global suppliers.
  • Lead supplier performance reviews focused on quality, delivery, service, innovation, sustainability, and cost competitiveness.
  • Develop supplier scorecards, corrective action plans, and continuous improvement programs.
  • Manage supplier capacity planning and business continuity risks.
  • Champion supplier diversity and sustainability initiatives.

Commercial Negotiations & Contract Management

  • Lead complex negotiations involving pricing, commercial agreements, payment terms, service levels, and risk mitigation.
  • Manage long-term contracts and strategic agreements.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Finance, and business stakeholders to ensure contract compliance.
  • Drive annual productivity and savings initiatives through supplier negotiations and value engineering activities.

Risk Management & Supply Continuity

  • Monitor global market and geopolitical conditions impacting supply availability and cost.
  • Develop mitigation strategies for supply disruptions, tariffs, regulatory changes, and commodity volatility.
  • Lead sourcing contingency planning and dual-source strategies where appropriate.
  • Partner with Supply Chain teams to improve resiliency and inventory optimization.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop sourcing professionals and category managers.
  • Serve as a key business partner across Operations, Marketing, Supply Planning, Finance, Logistics, R&D, Manufacturing, and Sustainability teams.
  • Establish clear objectives, KPIs, and development plans for team members.
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead cross-functional sourcing project teams and strategic initiatives.

Business Transformation & Process Excellence

  • Drive procurement process improvements and digitalization initiatives.
  • Support ERP and procurement system optimization activities.
  • Develop sourcing analytics and dashboards to improve decision-making.
  • Implement best practices in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and procurement governance.

  • Annual cost management and cost avoidance

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

  • B.S. and/or B.A. degree.
  • Minimum seven years of experience in a Procurement leadership role.
  • Experience in purchasing must include a complete understanding of standard costs and a strong background in finance and negotiations.
  • Experience in low-cost country sourcing and procurement is preferred.
  • Knowledge of marketing beneficial.
  • Understanding and experience in supply chain practices and/or global capacity planning preferred.
  • 15% - 30% travel required.
