About the Role Join Amgen’s mission-driven finance team as the Sr. Manager Global Cost Accounting. In this role you will lead a team responsible for the day-to-day accounting operations that support inventory, site expenses, cost of sales, reserves, standard costing, and pre-approval inventory for Amgen’s manufacturing network, ensuring US GAAP compliance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across regions to deliver accurate close and reporting. What You'll Do
- Supervise team of 3+ Amgen or Contract/Temporary staff in day-to-day accounting operations to deliver on accounting close and reporting activities related to inventory, site support, COS, reserves, standard costing, pre-approval inventory for Amgen’s manufacturing network and to ensure US GAAP compliance in the related areas.
- Develop the team by providing coaching and guidance to team members utilizing the Amgen values as the basis, building subject matter expertise and fostering a transformation and continuous process improvement mindset.
- Manage roles and responsibilities within the team to balance workload and ensure timely close and reporting.
- Coordinate with Amgen's global teams and external partners (including our India-based accounting operations) to support global accounting processes.
