As a Sr. Manager General Finance:

You will use your business acumen and industry knowledge to ensure the overall success of the business in the EMEA region. You will work closely with the senior leadership team (remote and local) to understand their vision and strategy for the business in the region, to drive transformation and achieve world-class service delivery standards in the finance function.

This role will be responsible for governing the overall R2R and AP EMEA operations and driving results for various initiatives to standardize, improve and streamline current RTR and AP processes, to maximize efficiencies and deliver productivity. You will be the main partner for RTR and AP in EMEA and serve as a key promoter of the Global Business Services (GBS) as a service provider.

Responsibilities and Measurement Criteria with Time investment Needed on Each: -

  • Oversee the end-to-end EMEA RTR and AP processes including the production of monthly US GAAP Financial Statements and yearly statutory Financial Statements for all entities in scope of GBS, ownership of monthly closing, maintenance of ledger accounts and compliance to financial reporting deadlines.
  • Together with the RTR and AP Management team to motivate and lead the RTR team, engendering a sense of empowerment in the pursuit of first-class service delivery - drive delivery of corporate accounting strategies and tightly manage the team on a day-to-day basis.
  • Oversee the implementation of new accounting policies which affect central finance, revenue recognition, direct material analysis, balance sheet reconciliations etc.
  • Ensure SOX compliance - enforce policies and procedures that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the department and Company.
  • Manage relationship with all external and internal auditors and provide accurate responses to audit queries. Primary contact point for internal and external auditors in respect of financial reporting processes (including coordination of OTC & P2P processes for audit purpose), and ensures issues are resolved timely
  • Work with the Head of Finance to define and implement the RTR strategic roadmap, transformation, and yearly key objectives with the goal of driving a step change in the accounting close processes.
  • Support RTR and AP transformation by working with various stakeholder groups to implement sustainable change through collaborative workshops and effective change management strategies.
  • Support the implementation of targeted workstreams for driving process standardization, simplification, and automation across the accounting close process.
  • Define metrics to measure end-to-end service performance, quality, and customer satisfaction
  • Partner with the RTR and AP SME, Transformation team and other finance leads to ensure alignment of process and strategies, to develop and report Key Performance Indicators
  • Manage the allocated budget, support the monthly forecasting exercise, and continuously drive efficiency growth initiatives in-line with GBS Objectives & Key Results.
  • Ensure service level consistency (voluntary turnover, recruitment lead time, onboarding, back-up structure, etc.).

Qualifications

Required/ Minimum Qualifications:

  • 8-10 years of experience in RTR/AP function with a focus on end-to-end processes.
  • 3-4 years in a management role.
  • University degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent demonstrable experience. A formal accountancy qualification (ACCA) is preferred but not mandatory.

Additional / Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with ERPs (Oracle preferred) and specific R2R enterprise assets (HFM Rogue, Blackline)

  • Strong understanding of controls required within the R2R and AP functions

  • Experience in managing continuous improvement

  • Language skills: English at advanced/native level.

  • Domain Expertise: excellent accounting and R2R acumen, applies their knowledge of the process to advance the organization's goals. Can read a process end-to-end, draw conclusions and translate them into outcomes for the service delivery teams

  • Change agility enjoys experiencing and leading change, viewing problems as an opportunity for change and improvement.

  • Strategic thinking: Ability to outline a vision for how the pieces come together, where the integration points are and how performance can be improved

  • Organizational awareness: considers the global (internal and external) implications of issues and decisions. Influences key individuals across different business units to gain buy-in and support for actions/decisions.
